Walking Holidays

You may be aware that Scotland has an access law giving a general but responsible right to roam to all in Scotland.  This means that virtually the whole of Orkney is available for access, but, of course, some areas are more suitable than others.  We are able to guide you on safe walks, free from livestock, farms and other worries, by means of a series of walks that have been planned and maintained by Orkney Islands Council and others.  Most walks are close to the seashore (see pics below) so that you can enjoy our shifting seascapes.

Birsay shore  Marwick dyke  Nethertown track

If you prefer more rugged terrain then why not let us take you onto Hoy (see pics below) or other upland areas?  We are able to steer you around bonxie colonies and other sensitive sites such that you will be seeing wildlife at close quarters but safe in the knowledge that our expertise will ensure that no harm is done to birdlife or sensitive habitats.

Even if you don't want to focus on walking as a holiday - don't forget to bring your boots!

Please use the bookings page to book or enquire for 2008 weeks or short breaks.
